Drawing of an iconic character from my childhood. Star Wars very own Boba Fett.
Drawing done on 42 x 29.7 cm Windsor and Newton Bristol board. A mixture of graphite and charcoal pencils were used for this piece.

Did you do the background in charcoal or pencil?

That was charcoal i used for that. Upto this point i had only just begun using charcoal in my graphite drawings. I think you can see it ended up looking a little scratchy in places as i wasn't that used to it. Luckily enough though it kinda worked well! ;)

Ah, lovely. If you're not looking for it, you don't notice the scratchy patches. The cons of being an artist and knowing what you screwed up on in your drawings means you focus on them xD I think we all know that. Thank your lucky stars that it worked!!

You really take photorealism in pencil to a whole new level with this work. I swear I thought it was a photomanipulation until I read the description. :)

Thankyou very much! I always like to add as much detail into my drawings as possible! It's possibly a bane of mine, as an art tutor once suggested i tried too loosen up a little with my work! I just can't seem to though lol. :)

I've seen plenty of digital art like this but how you did it in pencil is... Fantastic.

Cheers, thats really kind of you.
It took a lot of layers to build up and get the look right! Turned out ok.
